Prescription Management Policy
Prescription treatments require structure, consistency, and medical oversight to achieve safe, lasting results.
At Unique Dermatology & Wellness Center, prescription medications are not treated as quick fixes. They are part of a structured approach to improving your skin safely and effectively over time. This policy outlines how prescription treatments are managed within our care model.
 — Medical Management Required
Prescription medications require appropriate evaluation and ongoing medical management.
Refills are not provided without a scheduled visit. This ensures your treatment remains safe, effective, and aligned with your skin’s current condition.
— Visit Types
Initial Prescription Evaluation
Required to start or restart prescription treatment under my care.
This visit includes a full assessment and development of a structured treatment plan.
Prescription Management Follow-Up ($65)
For established patients continuing treatment.
Includes review of response, tolerance, and safety, with continuation or adjustment when appropriate.
If your visit requires a more in-depth evaluation, your session may be transitioned to a full consultation.
The $65 will be applied toward the consultation if upgraded the same day.
Prescription Check-In (Within 8 Weeks)
For patients within their active treatment window.
Includes a brief progress review.
No additional fee is required for this visit when within 8 weeks of your last appointment.
— Established Care Requirement
Patients must be evaluated under our current system before receiving ongoing prescription management.
Previous use of medication does not replace the need for evaluation under current care.
— Treatment Decisions
Prescription medications are continued only when clinically appropriate.
If additional concerns are identified, or if your condition requires a more in-depth evaluation, a full consultation may be required before continuing treatment.
— Self-Pay Structure
Prescription management visits are self-pay.
Insurance coverage varies and is not guaranteed for all conditions, particularly those related to cosmetic concerns such as hyperpigmentation.
— Forms & Preparation
Required intake forms must be completed at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
If forms are not received, your visit may be rescheduled.
— Cancellation Policy
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.
Missed appointments or late cancellations result in forfeiture of the visit fee.
— Care PhilosophyÂ
Prescription treatments are most effective when used within a structured plan.
For patients seeking more consistent, long-term improvement, a guided step-by-step approach may be recommended.
This structure allows for safe, consistent, and effective management of your skin over time.
